I realize I'm a month late on this, but DA actually supports APNG just fine - for images larger than 900px you just need to make sure to click "Download", in which case it's a good idea to put some text or something in the first frame saying "click 'download' to animate" but then have the animation actually skip the first frame so you don't see that texting during animation (I know that the portable program "APNG assembler" has this option).
