Whaziznamez Materials set 1

Whaziznamez "Simple Node-Based" Materials - 2006

This set contains 57 node based materials, and related .png files. They are .mt5 files; so you will need Poser 5 or newer to use them.


I have divided them into two groups: "Fabrics", & "Non-Fabrics"; but in truth many of the "non-fabrics" were created for use on clothing items. {I have left the original names intact; if they don't seem right to you, feel free to change them to anything that does.}

Some "fabrics" were originally designed to be used on the P5 Female catsuit; but due to errors in the catsuit's UV mapping, the geometric patterns do not work well.

Some of the "non-fabrics" were created for use in "Autoshow type" renders, and therefore are very reflective. These usually require raytracing be turned on; and patience during rendering.


Now, having said all of that; because these are node based, you will find that these will work on many items. Try them on background planes, floor props, character skins,... even lights; sometimes a small adjustment in a node setting will create a totally different texture.

All the materials in this download were created by me {Dr. Mahatma Whazizname}; although the "leathers" were greatly inspired by Mapps Materials {...a freebie also...}.

These are free for use in any commercial, or non- commercial creations. Please do not sell them, or distribute them as your own creations. If you like them, and use them, a small credit would be nice; but is not required.
